Kinsi Korsan is desperate, and the object hidden in the hull of a tattered pirate ship is his last shot at redemption. The object is the beginning of his country's rebellion. Stories of Sakalid is a novella to be read in conjunction with Arrival of the Rifted, the first book of The Rifted Series. It can be read before or after the first book, but should be read before beginning the second novel in the series.
